Real-Time Drilling
Telemetry Platform.

Drilling operations generate enormous amounts of telemetry data. Most of it never reaches the people who need it — at least not in time to matter. It sits in vendor systems, moves through manual workflows, and arrives as a report hours after the operational moment has passed.

PRUiM designs and builds the infrastructure that changes that — a production-grade drilling telemetry platform that ingests data from the field, normalizes it across vendor systems, and delivers live operational visibility from sensor to dashboard.

THE PROBLEM

Why drilling telemetry
rarely reaches its potential.

Data that arrives too late to act on

Most drilling operations have data — they just don't have it when they need it. Telemetry sitting in vendor systems, reports assembled manually hours after the fact, and dashboards refreshing on stale exports don't support real operational decisions. By the time the data reaches the people who need it, the moment has passed.

Vendor systems that don't talk to each other

EDR platforms, directional drilling software, surface data systems, and reporting tools were each built in isolation. Connecting them into a coherent operational picture requires a normalization layer none of them provide. The result is fragmented visibility across the operation — stitched together manually by people who should be focused elsewhere.

No reliable edge-to-cloud path

Field connectivity is unreliable. Networks drop, rigs lose signal, and laptops accumulate data with no clear path to the cloud. Systems designed for stable connectivity fail in these conditions — dropping records, duplicating data, or losing state entirely when the connection returns.

Infrastructure that can't scale with operations

A platform that works across five rigs often breaks at fifty. Time-series databases hit performance ceilings without proper partitioning. Ingestion pipelines that handle nominal loads collapse under burst traffic. Infrastructure that wasn't designed for scale from the start becomes a liability as operations grow.

WHAT PRUIM BUILDS

From sensor to dashboard —
the complete telemetry stack.

Real-time EDR telemetry ingestion

Direct API and WITSML ingestion from Pason, TOTCO, WellSeeker, and other EDR sources into a unified operational database. Telemetry flows continuously — no manual exports, no polling delays, no spreadsheet intermediaries.

Edge computing for field environments

Rust-native edge applications built for unreliable field connectivity. Local data capture with deterministic sync — records are never lost when the network drops, and the system recovers cleanly when connectivity returns. Designed for rig laptops and ruggedized field environments.

Multi-vendor data normalization

Each EDR vendor uses its own channel names, sampling rates, and units. PRUiM builds the normalization layer that maps vendor-specific telemetry into a consistent operational schema — enabling cross-vendor analytics and unified reporting regardless of which systems are on the rig.

Well identity resolution

Pason, TOTCO, WellSeeker, and Oasis all represent well identity differently. PRUiM resolves those differences into a canonical well model, allowing telemetry, operational data, and reporting to reference the same physical well consistently across all systems.

Azure cloud infrastructure

Production-grade Azure infrastructure designed for telemetry workloads — PostgreSQL time-series with partition strategy tuned for drilling data, BullMQ job queues for reliable ingestion, containerized services, and CI/CD pipelines. Built to handle 100M+ records per day without operational intervention.

Operational reporting and dashboards

Power BI, dashboards, and analytics environments connected directly to the live data layer. Reports refresh automatically from a single source of truth. Operational visibility that reflects what's happening now — not what happened yesterday.

PRODUCTION PROOF

Built and operated at
industrial scale.

Principal architect of a production drilling telemetry platform for a leading directional drilling company — designed and built from the ground up as principal architect and technical lead. The platform ingests real-time EDR telemetry directly from WellSeeker, TOTCO, and Pason via API and WITSML into a unified PostgreSQL time-series database on Azure, with live operational reporting delivered through Power BI.

Today, the platform supports more than 1,900 wells, processes over 100 million telemetry records per day, and contains more than 2.4 billion historical records.
